Why are people so ignorant about politics and vote on things they know nothing about?
People that do not know anything about politics vote on every election.
The fact is today people are voting because they like a look or a saw an attack ad on TV that may not even be remotely accurate.
I admit I have been in the booth and did not know about a small town elected position so I just DID NOT pick a canidate for that election.
How can we help this situation?
Sad,. but true. I lost count of the people I confronted on WHY they were voting the way they were. Most had nothing to back up their decision except that it “felt right”.
There should be tests for voting.
