What kind of jobs do senators usually have before they go into politics? ?

also how does the peace corps look when runing for office? do you have any idea who has been in it that are in office now or had been ?
Some who don’t fit the mold are wife of the president (Hilary Clinton) and astronaut (John Glenn). The usual path is a smaller office, like congressman/woman, mayor of a big city, leader of the state house of representatives or state senate. Some state governors become US senators; that isn’t exactly a “smaller” office.
Most are lawyers before they go into politics.
The Peace Corps would look good to the liberals in your state; the Marine Corps to the conservatives.
