What animals can be connected to political parties?

I’m trying to come up with new animals for the Republicans and Democrats as well as include the three biggest “minor league” parties (Green, Libertarian, and Constitution). I’m trying to think of animals that suit their political ideologies/personalities. Democrats = demoRATS or a weasel or a raccoon(Corrupt, no one wants them in their house, steals things from you. Need I go on?)

Republican = Pelican(No idea why just thought it flowed well)

Green = Hippie(What? Hippies are animals, they smell like one at least)

Libertarian = Fish(They want to be free and what’s more free than a fish… or a bird a bird would work too)

Constitution = Dog (Honorful, loyal)
